Directions
NEVER mix different products together in the same bottle or pail. Always add with the pump and filter running to ensure complete mixing and good circulation. Broadcast this product uniformly over the surface of the water. Always apply product when spa is not in use. To prevent damage to spa surface, use a pool brush to disperse granules that may have settled to the bottom of the spa. NEVER allow undissolved product to rest in contact with leachable spa surfaces. Test chlorine level prior to reentry to make sure the residual concentration in the spa is between 1 and 3 ppm.Reentry is prohibited above levels of 3 ppm chlorine due to risk of bodily injury.
Spa and Hot Tub Disinfectant:
Adjust pH to between 7.2 and 7.6. When this product is used as a primary spa disinfectant, add 4 teaspoons or 1/2 an ounce of this product for every 500 gallons of water to establish a free chlorine residual between 1-3 ppm. circulate water for five to ten minutes to allow for complete mixing and good circulation prior to testing. Test spa water for free chlorine. Once chlorine residual is 1-3 ppm, the spa may be entered. Reentry is prohibited above levels of 3 ppm chlorine due to risk of bodily injury. Spa water must be treated regularly to ensure that a free chlorine residual is matinee between 1-3 ppm at all times. Do not let chlorine residual drop below 1 ppm.
Shock Treatment - Superchlorination:
For residential spas add once pre week at a dose of 4 tablespoons or 2 ounces of this product to every 500 gallons of spa water. Heavily used spas may require shock treatment on more frequent basis. Reentry into the treated spa or hot tub can resume after the free chlorine concentration has dropped below 3 ppm.
